Benteke
I find this completely underwhelming. Should we be looking at another big target man 6ft 3"?

We already got big Andy and I just feel we will start to hoof it again. That's why Klopp doesn't use him and why Rogers didn't use Carroll. We don't need another disaster from the scousers for big money. Benteke looks like he has lost all confidence. We need to play the West Ham way with the ball on the deck. I hope this is a red herring.

I'm sure he is. The more people that think that the better a bargain someone will get when they take him on and coach him well.

Depay is shit.

Benteke
Depay
Sakho
Berinho

That would be an available and tasty four man strike force and all available and probably under valued.

Carroll & Valencia shipped out to the highest bidder.

Of course this is football manager talk so no need to lose your shit over it x

I don't think it is a red herring - the club have enquired haven't they? Hope it dissolves into nothing.

I think we're in danger of hanging around waiting for the likes of Lacazette to blow us out and by the time they do a few more people will be interested in Chrissy Benny and we'll end up spunking 25m + on him.

I'm well up for getting Benny in now. Proven premier league experience, decent age. Obviously we could buy him now and then he breaks his leg during the Euros......

Lot's of people saying offload Carroll, he scored some important goals this season and played well. I'd like to see us keep him and add someone else, we need competition for places up top and Carroll is probably the best at what he does in the division.

Re: Benteke
Do the deal now and get a good deal

Gamble on him having a poor euros and get s better deal

or have him on board, has a great euros, price soars and confidence is up for the start of the season.

The guy is a quality player whose move to Liverpool didn't work out. If he is available we should go for him.

Newcastle won't be able to afford Carroll's wages

Benteke is better than Carroll...and less injuries...

Good buy at 20million...

Sell Carroll to Toon for 15million...

And get a top line striker for 30million...

I unfortunately see this deal going ahead. I am of course happy to eat humble pie if he is a success and bags the golden boot and we win the league

Benteke 25 year old Belgium international, even this year being fucked around by klopp has 9 goals. We don't want him as he is shit now, okay if course he is.

Re: Benteke
20m for Chrissy Bentekkers would be fucking good business. The bloke would score hundreds for us.

I'd like to get him in now. Come on Dave.

Benteke and Verdy costing 60 million odd is pure madness.

Verdy has peaked and Benteke cannot be worth more than 10 million

Sincerely hope it is paper crap

Ask yourself, honestly, if you could see both of them lining up in the same side. That 'should' give you your answer.

Re: Benteke
I'd be surprised if any club would want to throw a large transfer fee at him given his form this season.

More like someone will take a punt on a season long loan with the option to buy at a set price if he comes through with anything like his Villa form...

If we have £20m to spend on a striker, we should have £19m left after buying Benteke. That's his worth.

Re: Benteke
Eggbert

They use(d?) some kind of tranfers commitee so he didn't have final; say

=====

But they have a committee who'd have to agree to sell a player for that reason wouldn't they?

If the committee is strictly inbound transfers only, and the manager is free to sell players, that wouldn't make any sense would it?
